The Aftermath

What a massive colossal fuck-up the government efforts towards Yolanda relief turned out to be. The hills of rotting rice and food kept inside government warehouses is a glaring middle finger to all those who gave their time and effort towards the alleviation of suffering in the affected areas. Thinking about it too much will petrify your brain. Even before the government efforts towards relief, I knew they would bungle it up. Seeing all the declaration of support, all the relief coming in from different countries, and then looking at the track record of the government, I knew something bad would happen. I think this isn’t just me. A lot of other people were worried too. And then it happened, and here we are smacking our foreheads at the aftermath.
